As I was designing the website, I went through many different templates as I was trying to decide what it looked like. I had never created a website before, but through this website I had a lot of different options. I was looking for a calm, relaxing website. When creating the website I kept all of the Gestalt principles in mind. I tried to keep the law of continuity throughout the whole website. I think that I achieved that through the different cool tones of blue and images that had the same aesthetics/tones. When you first open the page, you are presented with our business name at the top, and if you scroll down a little you see a slideshow of different yoga poses/classes. Further past the slideshow is a collage of pictures that follow the law of continuity. They all have the same general shape and size. The colors in the images are within the same tones and complement each other well that results in an eye appealing collage. All together, I tried to stick to the law of similarity. Keeping the colors in the same tones, the font the same throughout, and the images in the same style to keep the law of similarity present. I hope that I was able to create a calm, appealing, and relaxing website through these Gestalt principles.
